🌐 Start a Nation Chapter Ministry

This document outlines the structure, responsibilities, and operational standards for official GUCM Chapters worldwide. All chapters operate under the authority of Global United Children Mentorship (GUCM) and must adhere to these bylaws to ensure consistency, transparency, and alignment with GUCM’s global mission.

All chapters must uphold GUCM’s global mission to empower children through mentorship, education, and community care, regardless of race, religion, gender, or nationality.

Any individual or group may apply to establish a chapter in a school, city, region, or country.

• Attend Chapter Orientation & Training
   
• Sign the Chapter Agreement & Code of Conduct
   
• Receive a Chapter Charter Certificate and branding kit from GUCM International Office
   

Each chapter must have the following minimum leadership structure:

• Chapter Coordinator – Responsible for overall planning and reporting
   
• Mentorship Lead – Manages mentoring programs and volunteer mentors
   
• Finance Lead – Oversees local fundraising, sponsorships, and expenses
   
• Outreach & Communications Lead – Handles events, media, and recruitment
   

Optional roles include: youth leaders, legal advisor, school liaison, sponsor relations manager, etc.

• Run local mentorship programs in accordance with GUCM guidelines
   
• Organize at least two impact events or drives annually (e.g., book drives, fundraisers, mentor meetups)
   
• Submit quarterly progress reports to GUCM HQ
   
• Ensure child safeguarding policies are followed at all times
   
• Maintain financial transparency and ethical fundraising practices
   

• Chapters may raise local funds with full transparency
   
• Sponsorship agreements must be approved by GUCM HQ if valued above $5,000 USD
   
• Chapters may apply for seed grants or program funding from GUCM HQ based on performance and need
   

• All chapter leaders must sign the GUCM Code of Conduct
   
• Chapters may not align with any political or religious party
   
• Any form of child exploitation, abuse, discrimination, or financial misconduct results in immediate deactivation of chapter rights
   
• Disputes are escalated to the GUCM Chapter Oversight Board
   

• Chapters must use approved GUCM name, logo, and tagline
   
• Social media, website, and public materials must reflect GUCM’s values and branding guidelines
   
• GUCM reserves the right to review and remove any content that misrepresents the organization
   

• Annual performance reviews will be conducted by the International Chapter Office
   
• Outstanding chapters will be recognized at GUCM’s Global Summit
   
• Chapters that remain inactive for over 12 months may be placed on probation or closed
   

GUCM reserves the right to terminate chapter status if:

• The chapter violates core values or governance rules
   
• There is a lack of transparency or misuse of funds
   
• The chapter becomes inactive without communication
   

Termination will be carried out with due notice, written explanation, and opportunity for appeal.

This framework and its bylaws are reviewed annually by GUCM's International Board. Amendments may be made by majority vote, with chapter representatives informed through official notice.
