Family & Daily Life

✝️ Family & Daily Life – Prayer Support

Family is the heart of Christian life, where faith is lived, shared, and passed on. Yet in our daily lives, families and individuals face countless challenges—financial struggles, illness, work difficulties, broken relationships, or the search for peace and protection. The Christian Nation provides a Prayer Support System for Families & Daily Life Needs, connecting believers with the intercession of saints and prayer offered at sacred churches worldwide.

🌍 How It Works

  1. Register Your Prayer Need – Families and individuals can submit specific needs: for health, work, children’s education, marriage, protection of home, or reconciliation.

  2. Choose a Patron Saint – Based on your intention, we guide you to the saint most associated with that need (e.g., St. Joseph for family and home, St. Anthony for lost things and harmony, St. Jude for urgent help).

  3. Christian Nation Volunteers – Our network of trained volunteers around the world personally visit dedicated churches and shrines of these saints, offering your prayers and intentions.

  4. Offering at the Shrine – If you wish, you may also make a small offering, which will be placed at the altar or candle stand, directly contributing to the life of the Church and the Christian Nation’s mission.

  5. Prayer Confirmation – You will receive a message confirming where and when the prayer was offered, and if possible, photos of candles or offerings placed.

🙏 Example

A Christian family in India is struggling with unemployment and financial pressure. They register their request with Christian Nation and choose St. Joseph, patron of workers and families. Our volunteer in Montreal visits St. Joseph’s Oratory, lights a candle, and prays specifically for that family. The offering is placed on behalf of the family, and the prayer details are shared back with them. Through this spiritual act, the family feels connected, supported, and strengthened by the global Christian community.

St. Raphael the Archangel – Healing, Safe Journeys

Why St. Raphael?

St. Raphael the Archangel, whose name means “God heals,” is one of the three archangels mentioned by name in the Bible. His story is most prominently told in the Old Testament’s Book of Tobit, where he journeys with a young man named Tobias, disguised as a human companion. On their journey, Raphael guides Tobias, helps him find a worthy spouse, and ultimately cures his blind father, Tobit, with a remedy from a fish.

For this reason, St. Raphael is venerated as the patron saint of travelers, happy meetings, the blind, and all those who suffer from bodily ills. He is also the patron of doctors, nurses, and medical workers, as he is a living testament to God's divine healing power.

Three Renowned Shrines of St. Raphael

  1. Church of St. Raphael the Archangel, Vilnius, Lithuania: This beautiful Baroque church, consecrated in 1730, is a former Jesuit monastery known for its ornate interior and historical significance. The main altar features a painting of St. Raphael escorting young Tobias.
  2. Notre Dame Basilica, Saint-Raphaël, France: Located in the French Riviera town that bears his name, this basilica honors the archangel. The town itself is a popular tourist destination, and its basilica features architecture inspired by Byzantine and Moorish styles.
  3. The Parish of St. Raphael the Archangel, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania: Established in 2021, this parish unites three churches and serves as a center for the faithful to seek the intercession of their patron saint for their spiritual and physical needs.

What Christian Nation Will Do

Through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, we will entrust our journeys and those of our families to the loving care of St. Raphael. We will pray for his divine protection against all dangers, for healing of our spiritual and physical wounds, and for the grace to walk in the path of God's will. We will ask him to accompany us through the ups and downs of life and to lead us to a happy and safe return to our heavenly home.

A Dedicated Prayer to St. Raphael

Glorious Archangel St. Raphael, great prince of the heavenly court, you are illustrious for your gifts of wisdom and grace. You are a guide of those who journey by land or sea or air, consoler of the afflicted, and refuge of sinners. I beg you, assist me in all my needs and in all the sufferings of this life, as once you helped the young Tobias on his travels.

Because you are the “medicine of God,” I humbly pray you to heal the many infirmities of my soul and the ills that afflict my body. I especially ask of you the favor of [mention your request here] and the great grace of purity to prepare me to be the temple of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Through the St. Raphael Prayer Initiative, Christian Nation will encourage the faithful to turn to the Archangel for protection, healing, and guidance. We will trust that as he guided Tobias, he will also lead us safely through our life’s pilgrimage.

You are proclaimed the true font of light and wisdom, and the primal origin raised high beyond all things. Pour forth a ray of Your brightness into the darkened places of my mind; disperse from my soul the twofold darkness into which I was born: sin and ignorance. You make eloquent the tongues of infants. Refine my speech and pour forth upon my lips the goodness of Your blessing. Grant to me keenness of mind, capacity to remember, skill in learning, subtlety to interpret, and eloquence in speech. May You guide the beginning of my work, direct its progress, and bring it to completion, You who are true God and true Man, who live and reign, world without end. Amen."
