Revelation 22:13- I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.
Christ is the substance of all things in this universe, whether visible or invisible. Since God is an eternal, conscious being, his Logos is eternal too- being God’s thoughts and desires in the realm of “potentiality” and ultimately, its substantial expression through sound vibration. Hence He is called “The Word.”
In order to understand what Christ means with being the “Alpha-Omega” one must first have an understanding of the stoichea of everything…. The LOGOS is the “DNA” of the universe… All of the “elements” or “elemental spirits” are conscious- because life is essentially conscious. The stoichea is the “alphabet” of the Universe in its proper order.
The word “cosmetic” comes from the root word “cosmos,” which means “beauty from order.” A disordered life is an ugly life…. its chaotic and unhappy. An ordered life is a happy life- fulfilled and satisfied.
When a conscious being turns to Christ, He comes into that person’s life and re-arranges those “disordered” and chaotic stoichea in the inner realm (substantial realm) of the personality- eventually leading to the external manifestation of that new order by the transformation of the external, material body- into a physical body of a spiritual nature.
When Christ says that He is the Omega- He is saying that he is also the destructive force behind the “end” of the age (platform of existence) and the beginning of the new one.
On the Cross, this present universe was put to an end- since “in him we live and move and have our being.” St. Paul teaches us that everything holds together in Him (Col. 1:17), and that while having one God, it is through the LOGOS that we exist. (1 Cor. 8:6)
“…yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we live, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we live.” 1 Corinthians 8:6 (NET)
The Greek word for “through” is the preposition διά (dia), which conveys the idea of crossing to the other side of a spectrum, or going all the way through and back. (Strong’s)
When Lord Jesus died on the Cross- it was not just the external man who died, but it was the whole Universe within Him. In Christ, the old order of the Universe came to an end, and it was in Christ that the New Heavens and Earth came into existence- and continues to subsist until it is fully manifest.
In the Resurrection, the Logos engendered a Universal order into which the children of Enlightenment already have been substantially engendered by the Holy Spirit. As members of the body of Christ, the initiated are parts and parcels of the new spiritual Universe.
2 Corinthians 5:17 (ESV)- Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
The True Cosmic Christ is the Resurrected Lord Jesus. Those who believe and cleave to Him are already part of the New Age- the Age of LIFE beyond Time. (Titus 1;2- See Greek)
If the Church taught its doctrine of the Logos and the New Universe, we would not define our lives by our limitations. We would view our lives as the boundless Life of Christ, and daily express his “miracles.”.–jcr
