John 12:32- And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw (attract) all people to myself.”

What if I told you that Christ is Krishna’s flute?

When studying the Vedic tradition, one can see how Lord Krishna is equivalent to the “God Most High” (El-Elyon) of Melchizedek, the King-Priest of Jerusalem. (Genesis 14:18-20)

According to the promise given to Abraham (Genesis 15:17-21) , Melchizedek was part of the cursed Jebusites. Yet, it is interesting that after His resurrection, Lord Christ is called a “Priest according to the order of Melchizedek.” (Hebrews 7:17) Interestingly, the Name “Melchizedek” means: “King of Righteousness” and “King of Peace.” (Hebrews 7:2)

In the Bible, wood is the symbol for a righteous man. (Psalm 1:3; 52:8; 92:12; Jer. 23:5-6; Zech. 4:11,14) Lord Christ is said to be the “LOGOS” or “WORD” of God- the expression/sound vibration of the Divine’s desire and creative force. (John 1:1-14)

Lord Krishna’s Name means: “The All Attractive.” lord-krishna-playing-flute-QN59_l.jpg

Whenever I see a beautiful rendition of Lord Krishna playing His flute, I think of God the Father calling us to reconcile with Him through the Good News of His Flute (Lord Jesus) and the power of His Life-giving Breath- the Holy Spirit.

Christ’s work is to bring humankind back to Godhead through pure Bhakti or devotional love. In Christ, God fully expresses His Bhakti (full devotion) to humankind- a love that is sacrificial in nature- even to the point of becoming what He detests (SIN) in order to bring those who desire, back to Godhead.

For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. (2 Corinthians 5:21)

On the wood of the Cross, Lord Jesus exchanged His nature for ours- and imputed to us the good Karma of His righteous and life-giving character.

On the wood of the Cross, Christ took upon Himself all the sins of the cosmos- and when He died, the old cosmos died with its maker. Yet when Christ the LOGOS rose from the grave, the whole cosmos was re-born in Him- thus creating a New Heavens and a New Earth. Hence, all who are in Him are a new creation. (2Cor. 5:17)

God gives this beautiful promise to all who answer His call to return to Him- to all who dance and sing to the tune of His Flute. To all who call on the Name of Jesus Christ.

Do you not feel the power of God’s attractive love? Let’s call on His Name so we can get back to Godhead…

Nothing else matters.+
