IMG_1316.jpg“Christian Politics?”

There is no such thing from a Biblical point of view. Many will argue the contrary- that Christians should be involved in politics- but lets analyze that concept.

First of all, the Scriptures are clear that THIS WORLD is not the true home for Christians (John 17:16). Christians are to consider themselves to be “soujourners and exiles” (1 Peter 2:11).

They are supposed to be focused on a “heavenly country” (Hebrews 11:16) and are “citizens of heaven” (Phil. 3:20). Anyone who gets involved with worldly politics will at some point have to use the “weapons” or tactics of this world, such as deceit, collusion, conspiracy, insults, and plain lies. The reason for that is because the devil is the “god of THIS world” or earthly system of rule (2 Cor. 4:4).

The only way to fight against persecution, war and injustice in this world is by means of FORCE, whether through active warfare or peaceful resistance. Even when Lord Jesus returns, He will establish justice and peace by shedding the blood of the enemies of righteousness (Rev. 19:13-15; Isaiah 63:3).

The Christian Church is a foreign entity that does not belong to this worldly system (1 Peter 2:9-11). The main problem is that the Church as a whole lost its disicplic way of life. We only know how to be Christians as individuals, not as a community. As disciples of Christ, we are supposed to be a community in the truest sense of the word (Acts 4:32).

This type of community-living is akin to the Orthodox Jews, the Sikhs and the Hare Krishnas.

Lord Jesus did not establish a church-going movement where individuals gather in a building for “Mass” and go their merry way afterwards. Lord Jesus did not establish a church-going community… He established THE CHURCH.

We’re supposed to be a disciplic people with our own discipline, morals, and leaders. (Heb. 13:17) Whenever Christians become activists, they soon realize that the world of politics is dirty and violent. A “goody-two-shoes” philosophy does not work In a world where bullying, intimidation, insults and even physical harm is the political norm among the masses. Politicians thrive on this- it is how they get their agenda to move forward among the dumbed-down masses who think with their genitalia… This is why politicians will not criticize their own constituents regardless of their behavior. Christians who get involved in politics soon realize that they are like soldiers going to war without weapons…

They soon realize that the more pacifistic they are, the more emboldened and dangerous their enemies get.

The weapons of the Christian Community are not meant for worldly politics (2 Cor. 10:4-6).

If you cannot go tit-for-tat with activists that are insulting, reviling and even physically harming you- then do not get involved in politics. In this world fire is fought with fire. If you go disarmed to a knife fight- you will lose, guaranteed. A political “goody-two-shoes” philosophy of “love” is nothing but an invitation for emboldened bullies to come after a disjointed community of formerly-rugged individuals who disarm themselves from every natural weapon given to man in order to survive and thrive in a violent and selfish world.
The world is not fair… Worldly people do not fight fair- they fight to win, and they will do whatever it takes to have their way. In this world there is no such thing as a “fair fight.”

CHRISTIANS AND POLITICS are like vinegar and oil.

The Principles of the Kingdom of God are meant for a Christian community that live FOR the community of devotees… When Christians live in community and protect one another, then it really doesn’t matter what the world says about us- their threats, or their insults.

But if we live as citizens of this world- then we better be ready to use the weapons of this world in order to survive and thrive. It is best to work for the world to come- for the Kingdom of God.
