Acts 4:12 (NIV) Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”
When the Bible speaks of salvation, it is not speaking about a first-class ticket to heaven sort of salvation, where everything will be a guaranteed BBQ party after we die.
Salvation… is meant to be wholistic and all-encompassing- including your mind, your emotions, and your present living.
If you are not healed in mind, soul and spirit- then you are not saved.
When Lord Christ spoke about salvation, he spoke about the subject as a matter of redemption from slavery to Satan, sin and the materialistic ways of this world in the now, and not just as a post-mortem paradise in heaven.
A great part of the salvific power of the Name of Jesus is the fact that it can liberate our minds from the sickly patterns of this world, and open our psyche to the transcendental truth of Christ’s accomplishments and the spirit-realm.
But because our souls still live in conditioned bodies and minds, we are taught by the Apostles to renew our minds.
Romans 12:2 (NKJV)- And do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
The renewing of the spirit of man is entirely the work of the Holy Spirit (John 3:5-8), but the way in which we see and interpret the world and life around us is entirely OUR WORK.
How do we do this?
Well, we do this through pursuing the spiritual disciplines in a robust way, such as studying the Scriptures, by intense prayer, vibrant communal worship and submitting under the authority of a bonafide Pastor-Teacher. (Hebrews 13:17)
In addition to these methods, there is one that your Pastor-Teacher might advise… The use of a MANTRA.
Our modern Christian paranoia cringes at the thought of using any spiritual tools that might help us in our journey back to Godhead…but this was not the attitude of the Christ, his Apostles nor his disciples!
For example, we have no problems whatsoever in accepting John 1:1 as a bonafide Christian teaching, yet the word-concept used by John the Apostle had its roots in Greek Philosophy!
John 1:1- In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The Greek word translated into “Word” is LOGOS. LOGOS was a Greek word that had been used for about three centuries by Greek philosophers who had reasoned that above the pantheon of Greco-Roman gods, there was a transcendental GOD MOST HIGH who manifested Himself through an expression of the divine intellect and His nature.
This manifestation they called the LOGOS, which refers to the verbal and active manifestation of God in everything that surrounds us, and the power that holds all things together.
This is of the utmost importance because the Apostles of Christ gave us an example to follow in which it allowed for us to use concepts and words that mirrored or communicated more effectively the Good News of Christ, according to the needs of each generation, culture or era.
The doctrine of the renewing of our minds in the reality of Christ is an inescapable fact… but how do we actually do it?
One of the ways in which it is done is by the timeless use of a MANTRA.
The Sanskrit word MANTRA is actually a composition of two words: MAN- which means mind, and TRA- which means to free. In other words, MANTRA means “to free the mind.”
One of the easiest ways to free the mind from the cares of this world and focus on the Christ is by simply calling out to His Name. (Gen. 4:26; Romans 10:9-10, etc.)
For almost 2,000 years, the Eastern Orthodox monks have prayed what they refer to as “The Jesus Prayer.” In these last days, the Lord has given us a prayer that not only calls out to His Name (which means salvation), but that also focuses on the Resurrection of Christ and our ultimate victory during days of great tribulation.
ALLELUIA ALLELUIA YEHOSHUA ALLELUIA! YEHOSHUA, YEHOSHUA, ALLELUIA ALLELUIA!
By meditating on the fact of the resurrection of Christ and the calling of His holy Name, our minds can be saved from the daily attacks of the Enemy, our pasts, and our worries for the future.
By praying or chanting this holy prayer (or Mantra) you will find freedom of mind and healing of soul and spirit.
The Name of Jesus means SALVATION.
Is your mind saved from stress, anxiety or worry? If not… Lord Jesus can save you, your mind and your whole being by the power of His Name.
Why wait for SALVATION after you die, when you can experience it in the NOW? Call out to His Name, and you will be saved in all aspects of your life.
