The days of rigid and disengaging liturgies are (thank God) passed and gone. The rock concert style, “praise-n-worship” service left us uprooted and disconnected from the sap of Christian Tradition and bereft of its timeless knowledge.
“The People’s Mass” will be a simple, yet upbeat way for average Western Christians to worship. The type of music and its beat invites the simple praise of acoustic instruments and communal singing, that aids in the memorization of the basic parts of the Traditional Christian Service.
The present is an excerpt of the Lord’s Prayer called: “Hallowed Be Thy Name.” The instruments used are an acoustic guitar and a djembe. The tune is an inspiration- based on classic Latin-American “vibes.”
